Congratulations! By placing in the top four at the West Virginia State Freestyle Tournament you are now eligible to be part of Team West Virginia!
This allows you the opportunity to travel as Team WV to Fargo, North Dakota and wrestle in the 2023 US Marine Corps Junior & 16 U Nationals.
The US Junior & 16U Nationals is a highly competitive prestigious tournament offered to qualifying athletes in the nation. The dates for the 2023 16U/Junior Nationals is July 14th – July 22nd. Please see the schedule for more information and specifics for Women and Men as they will not be competing on the same dates.
USA West Virginia Leaders will be providing you with 2 Regional Training Camps. The training camps will be as follows: June 17th and July 1st, Parkersburg High School as well as USA Wrestling Leaders will apply $100 to your trip if you attent Felix Wrestling Academy Freestyle-Greco Camp, July 5th – 9th. If you are going to Fargo, there is NO FEE for these camps.
If you are going to Fargo, we need your information as soon as possible! You need to fill out the form that was given at the tournament and mailed to:

If not received by June 1st we will assume you will not be attending.
Also enclosed in the packet: An expense sheet (which discusses all costs), a waiver for the Regional camps and a Team West Virginia rules sheets
Fundraising: A basic letter was with the packet. You may send this letter to your area businesses requesting donations to help finance the expense of the trip. All fundraising checks should be made to YOU!
